Day five

Today was a lazy-stay-around-the-island day. I got even more sun, I haven’t been this tan in a long, long time. I even have a sandal tan and that is saying something. I got some more reading done; I am currently reading “The Pact” by Jodi Picoult. I just read “Nineteen minutes” by her as well and it was a really good read, kept my attention. The Pact is also one of those reads where once you sit and start you can’t stop. I went into town with everyone today; we took the boat to the center of town and parked it in front of the market square. It was a lot of fun just walking around and seeing what there was to buy and such. It gives me an idea of what there is and price. Finland is expensive, like Switzerland but they use the Euro which really throws me off so I have to watch what I buy and what I spend. When in town, I saw the Helsinki Cathedral and the Russian Orthodox Church, both I plan on going in, maybe tomorrow since I have the day off. YAY!!! I ended up doing 1/7 walking routes and I got my two post cards as well. When we were in town we got some ice cream and it was delicious. Nina says it’s the best in the world and it was almost the best, I still like gelato better. For dinner tonight we had this small finnish fish (I don’t know what it’s called) with fresh dill, OMG it was amazing with the fresh dill. I have a new found love for fresh dill, it smells like dill pickle chips which I am dying for right now. AMAZING DINNER, and I even made it and Nina bathed the kids tonight....GO ME. The boat ride was very relaxing. There is something about boat rides that I love and I just don’t know what it is. Other than that it was a very relaxing day. Once we were back on the island it was just relaxing and colouring. I have so many pictures already and I have only been here 5 days. I’m definitely going to have to get an online photo album so I can post all my pictures online instead of all on Facebook. I will post only one album, aside from the one already up, to show what I did and what I saw :). That’s all for now, the kids are FINALLY asleep and time for a nice cool shower since my skin is pretty hot!! Hehe
